Indian air hostess found dead in flat

MUMBAI: A 25-year-old air hostess was found dead in her apartment in Mumbai on Sunday.

The police reported that the air hostess was killed by having her throat slit with a sharp weapon in an upscale residential complex in Mumbai. Authorities have initiated an inquiry and taken a housekeeper from the community into custody.

As per the police, the deceased woman, originally from Chhattisgarh, had come to Mumbai in April of this year for her job. She shared the apartment with her sister and her boyfriend; however, both of them had departed for their village approximately eight days ago.

According to police, there had been a heated argument between the air hostess and the housekeeper a few days ago her murder, and it is alleged that he killed her in an attempt to teach her a lesson.

Her family became concerned when she ceased responding to their calls. They decided to contact her friends in Mumbai and requested them to visit her. However, upon reaching her flat, they discovered that it was securely locked from the inside, and repeated doorbell rings went unanswered.

The police are investigating the case.
