Injury blow for Lahore Qalandars as Haris Rauf ruled out of PSL 9

Haris Rauf

LAHORE: Lahore Qalandars’ campaign in PSL 9 has suffered a significant setback with the news that fast bowler Haris Rauf will miss the remainder of the tournament due to injury. The devastating blow comes as the team strives to turn their fortunes around after facing defeat in all four matches played so far this season.

Karachi Kings beat Lahore Qalandars by two wickets

The Lahore Qalandars management confirmed that Rauf will require a recovery period of four to six weeks, dealing a blow to their bowling attack. Rauf’s absence leaves a notable void in the team’s lineup, as his pace and skill were crucial elements in their bowling arsenal.

Meanwhile, in another injury setback, the renowned PSL franchise Multan Sultans has announced the unfortunate news that English fast bowler Ollie Stone has also been ruled out of the current edition due to a back injury. Stone’s departure from the tournament leaves Multan Sultans in need of a replacement player to fill the void left by the talented English cricketer.

Stone’s injury occurred during his very first match against Islamabad United on February 20. The English cricketer was forced to leave the field after sustaining the injury in the fourth over, leaving his team without his services for the remainder of the match and the tournament.

As both Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans grapple with the absence of key players due to injury, the remaining matches of PSL 9 promise to be fiercely competitive as teams strive to overcome these setbacks and stake their claim for success in the tournament.
