LAHORE: In the midst of an extended period of foggy conditions, various cities in Punjab, notably Lahore, continue to grapple with reduced visibility, causing disruptions in daily activities.
On Friday, at precisely 12:30 AM, the fog retained its firm hold on several key areas, including Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase 8, DHA Phase 9, Airport Road, Bedian Road, Askari 11 Lahore, and their environs.
Reports indicate an escalation in the intensity of fog at Lahore Airport, resulting in delays for numerous flights.
Notably, the Lahore to Dubai-bound Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight, PK 235, experienced a two-hour delay.
Airport officials disclosed that the PK-235 aircraft remains on the runway, awaiting clearance for take-off.
This delay has had a cascading effect, impacting flights from four private companies scheduled to depart from Lahore Airport to various international destinations.
As the fog persists, travelers and aviation authorities are closely monitoring the situation, bracing for potential further disruptions in flight schedules.
