Iran invites NA speaker Ayaz Sadiq to attend condolence ceremony for Khamenei

ISLAMABAD: Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has invited National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq to attend a condolence ceremony being held in Tehran for the late Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, according to the National Assembly Secretariat.
In a letter addressed to Ayaz Sadiq, Ghalibaf invited him to participate in the ceremony, which is scheduled to take place in Tehran on July 3, 2026.
The Iranian speaker also conveyed his best wishes to the people of Pakistan, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq and members of the National Assembly, while reaffirming the longstanding brotherly ties and strategic partnership between Pakistan and Iran.
Expressing deep sorrow over the death of Ayatollah Khamenei, Ghalibaf said Iran valued its close relationship with Pakistan and hoped to further strengthen the bonds of mutual respect, dignity and cooperation between the two countries.
Responding to the invitation, speaker Sadiq thanked his Iranian counterpart for inviting him to attend the condolence ceremony.
