Iranian ambassador praises Pakistani people, leaders

ISLAMABAD: The Iranian ambassador in Islamabad on Wednesday lauded the support of the people and Pakistani leaders during the conflict with Israel.

“In the face of an unjust and imposed aggression by the Zionist regime against the brotherly, friendly, and Muslim nation of Iran, Pakistan stood resolutely and honourably beside us, demonstrating unwavering solidarity and support,” Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam said in a statement posted on his official X account.

“At this historic and momentous juncture, as the great nation of Iran celebrates a dignified and decisive victory — culminating in the imposition of a just and powerful ceasefire upon the belligerent adversary — I wish to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the government and people of Pakistan,” the Iranian envoy said.

Moghadam expressed his gratitude to Pakistan’s top leadership, parliamentarians, religious scholars, political parties, and media outlets for their principled and courageous positions.

At the same time, he also mentioned the Foreign Office.

“My sincere thanks also go to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan for its consistent and firm support of the Islamic Republic of Iran in various international platforms — including the United Nations, the UN Security Council and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.”

He said the people and governments of Iran and Pakistan have throughout history stood shoulder to shoulder in solidarity and fraternity.

The Iranian ambassador further said the people of Iran would never forget the historic expression of brotherhood and support extended by the Pakistani nation.

“This landmark victory will be etched into the collective memory of the Muslim Ummah as a lasting symbol of pride, strength, self-belief, courage, and the ultimate triumph of truth over falsehood,” Moghadam concluded.
