JERUSALEM: An Iranian missile struck Israel’s Oil Refineries in Haifa on Thursday, but officials said there was no significant damage.
Israel’s Energy Minister Eli Cohen said power was briefly disrupted in some areas, but electricity has been largely restored. “The damage to the power grid in the north is localized and not significant,” he added.
Police bomb disposal units were deployed to several sites in Haifa where munitions landed. No casualties have been reported.
The Ministry of Environmental Protection said debris from an intercepted missile fell in Haifa and is being treated as a hazardous materials incident.
