Iranian President congratulates Shehbaz Sharif on assuming prime ministership

TEHRAN: In a recent telephonic conversation, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi congratulated Shehbaz Sharif on assuming the role of Pakistan’s latest Prime Minister.

During their exchange, the Iranian president expressed his confidence that the two countries given their their deep-rooted historical and cultural ties, will exert additional efforts to strengthen and broaden collaboration to achieve the desired level of relations between Iran and Pakistan.

Raisi stated Iran’s readiness to enhance and deepen all aspects of bilateral relations with Pakistan within the framework of its consistent policy.

He expressed hope that Pakistan’s new administration will take steps toward the advancement and prosperity of the country, and he prayed for the success of the new government and the well-being of the Pakistani people.

During the telephonic conversation between Iranian president and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the latter expressed his gratitude for the well-wishes and highlighted the profound historical and cultural connections shared by Iran and Pakistan.

Prime Minister Sharif also reiterated his commitment to enhancing cooperation with Iran across various different sectors. He stated his determination to steer Pakistan towards growth and prosperity.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also extended an invitation to the Iranian President to visit Pakistan, further fostering diplomatic relations between the two countries.
