Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei ‘dead’ after joint Israel-US bombing in Tehran

Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei killed: Trump

WASHINGTON: The Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has been killed, US President Donald Trump said, claiming, “Khamenei, one of the most evil people in History, is dead”.

“This is not only Justice for the people of Iran, but for all Great Americans, and those people from many Countries throughout the World, that have been killed or mutilated by Khamenei and his gang of bloodthirsty THUGS,” Donald Trump posted on his social media account on Truth Social.

The Truth Social post said, “He [spiritual leader of Iran] was unable to avoid our Intelligence and Highly Sophisticated Tracking Systems and, working closely with Israel, there was not a thing he, or the other leaders that have been killed along with him, could do.”

The statement said that this is the single greatest chance for the country’s citizens to take back their country, adding, ‘We are hearing that many of their Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and other security and police forces are now looking for immunity from us.’

Referring to his previous statement, the president said, “As I said last night, Iran’s citizens can now have immunity, as later they only get Death!”

He said, “Hopefully, the IRGC and Police will peacefully merge with the Iranian Patriots, and work together as a unit to bring back the Country to the Greatness it deserves.”

Warning Iran’s leadership, he added that heavy and pinpoint bombing, however, will continue uninterruptedly throughout the ongoing week or till the moment they achieve their “objective of PEACE THROUGHOUT THE MIDDLE EAST AND, INDEED, THE WORLD!”

Those of the IRGC, police and other security forces wanting peace in Iran, Trump said, “[the] process should soon be starting in that, not only the death of Khamenei but the country has been, in only one day, very much destroyed and, even, obliterated.”

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who was set to travel to Israel on coming Monday, has cancelled his visit to the country, “due to current circumstances”, BBC said, citing the state department. “Due to current circumstances, Secretary Rubio will no longer travel to Israel on March 2.”

On Saturday evening, Iran also confirmed the loss of several military commanders, and reports suggested that its defence minister was among the casualties.

Tehran vows to continue response

Iran’s foreign ministry said that Tehran would continue its response after targeting its top leadership once again.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have said that the first wave of the retaliatory missile and drone attacks had been launched against Israel, following the US-Israel joint strikes in Tehran that killed 201 and injured over 700.
