Iran's interior minister conferred with a guard of honour at Islamabad Police Lines

ISLAMABAD: Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni was presented with a guard of honour at Islamabad Police Lines on Tuesday as part of his official visit to Pakistan.

The ceremonial reception was held in his honour, with Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry accompanying the visiting dignitary during the event.

According to Pakistan’s Ministry of Interior, Momeni received a warm and enthusiastic welcome upon his arrival at the parade ground, where a smartly turned-out police contingent presented the guard of honour.

The Iranian minister arrived in Islamabad late Monday night on a two-day official visit aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation.

During his stay, he is expected to hold talks with senior Pakistani officials on issues of mutual interest, including border management, internal security, counterterrorism and regional cooperation.
