Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei issues new directives to armed forces

Mojtaba Khamenei says new Strait of Hormuz management ‘will bring calm’

Iran’s top military leadership held a high-level meeting with Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, during which new strategic directives were issued regarding ongoing military operations and regional security challenges, according to Iran’s semi-official Fars News Agency.

The report said Ali Abdollahi, commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, the body responsible for coordinating Iran’s armed forces, briefed the Supreme Leader on the operational preparedness and readiness of the country’s military forces.

During the meeting, Khamenei reportedly provided “new guiding measures” aimed at continuing military operations and strengthening Iran’s response posture against its adversaries. The report did not specify when the meeting took place.

According to Fars, Abdollahi noted that Iran’s armed forces remain fully prepared to respond to any military action or escalation involving the United States or Israel.

“The armed forces are ready to confront any action by the American-Zionist enemies,” Abdollahi was quoted as saying. “In case of any error by the enemy, Iran’s response will be swift, severe, and decisive.”

The comments come amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing concerns over the possibility of further military escalation involving Iran, Israel, and the United States. Iranian officials have repeatedly warned against what they describe as hostile actions targeting the country’s security and strategic interests.

The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters plays a central role in overseeing military coordination between Iran’s regular armed forces and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), particularly during periods of heightened security threats.

Iranian state-linked media have increasingly highlighted military readiness and defense coordination in recent weeks, reflecting growing tensions across the Middle East and fears of a wider regional confrontation.
