Is Spotify down? Music app confirms outage

CALIFORNIA: If Spotify is not working for you, you are not alone as the music streaming platform has confirmed an ongoing outage affecting users worldwide.

Reports began rising shortly after 9am PT-12pm ET, with thousands of users reporting issues on Downdetector, which showed a sharp spike in complaints before gradually tapering off.

Users said they were unable to play songs, access playlists, open their libraries, or use search and login features across mobile, desktop, and web versions. Some also reported app crashes and issues with offline downloads.

Spotify acknowledged the disruption on X, saying it was aware of issues with the app and that its teams were working to resolve the problem. However, the company has not yet provided a timeline for full restoration.

While some users reported the service returning intermittently, Spotify is still working on stabilising its systems.
