Ishaq Dar, Anita Anand discuss Pakistan-Saudi Arabia-Turkey defence agreement

WEB DESK: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand reviewed the regional situation and discussed the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia-Türkiye defence agreement during a telephone conversation held on Sunday, according to the Foreign Office (FO).
According to the FO, Dar briefed his Canadian counterpart on the objectives of the defence agreement and Pakistan’s shared commitment with its partners to promoting peace and stability in the region.
The two foreign ministers also exchanged views on the emerging situation amid tensions between the United States and Iran, the Foreign Office spokesperson said.
They discussed developments in occupied Jerusalem as well as the recent meeting in Jordan.
Dar thanked Anand for her recent visit to Pakistan and expressed appreciation for the engagement between the two countries.
The two sides agreed to maintain close contact on matters of mutual interest, according to the Foreign Office.
