ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar has addressed speculation surrounding the replacement of Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, stating that a decision will be made in the coming days.
In an interview with Geo News, Dar confirmed that consultations with the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) regarding the Sindh governor’s position were ongoing and that an outcome will be reached soon.
However, he dismissed reports suggesting that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Bashir Memon would be appointed as the new Sindh governor.

Meanwhile, Tessori has vowed to continue serving as Sindh governor despite rumours of his potential replacement. “Positions come and go, but I will continue to serve the people as long as I hold the governor’s post,” Tessori said in response to the speculation.
Tessori emphasized that he enjoys the confidence of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, and MQM-P Chief Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui. “I will continue to fulfill my responsibilities as Sindh governor,” he added.
Sources previously indicated that a change in the governor’s office could be imminent, with PML-N leadership reportedly discussing the matter with top PPP leaders on Friday.
