Federal Minister Ishaq Dar sustained a shoulder injury during the reception of the Egyptian Foreign Minister but continued to attend all scheduled high-level meetings throughout the day, reportedly managing the pain with medication.
According to his son Ali Dar, Dar participated in crucial discussions and recorded an official statement, marking the conclusion of an important day for Pakistan’s diplomatic engagements. Despite the fall injury, he carried out his duties efficiently, earning praise from colleagues and observers.
Later in the evening, at around 9 PM, Dar underwent a medical examination following his family’s insistence. X-rays revealed that while overall his condition is stable, he has sustained a hairline fracture in his shoulder. Doctors have advised that the injury will be managed with painkillers and other precautionary measures over the next few days.
Dar expressed gratitude for the outpouring of prayers, messages, and well wishes, emphasizing his commitment to fulfilling his responsibilities despite the setback. Officials confirmed that he will continue to participate in key governmental functions while following medical guidance to ensure a full recovery.
