WEB DESK: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with his Japanese counterpart, during which both sides welcomed the recent understanding reached between the United States and Iran, according to the Foreign Office spokesperson.

The two leaders expressed the view that the US–Iran understanding carries significant importance for regional stability and for the wider international community.

They noted that reduced tensions would contribute positively to peace and economic predictability across sensitive global corridors.

Pakistan’s diplomatic role praised

During the exchange, the Japanese Foreign Minister appreciated Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic engagement, stating that its mediation efforts had helped facilitate a positive outcome.

According to the Foreign Office, the Japanese side acknowledged that Islamabad’s sustained and proactive diplomacy played a meaningful role in advancing the recent developments.

Both sides agreed on the importance of maintaining close and continuous diplomatic contact between Islamabad and Tokyo, particularly in view of evolving regional dynamics.

Commitment to deepen bilateral relations

The two foreign ministers also reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening Pakistan–Japan relations across multiple sectors.

They agreed to maintain regular consultations on matters of mutual interest and to continue facilitating exchanges of official delegations.

The conversation underscored a shared resolve to enhance cooperation and sustain engagement on regional and global issues of common concern.
