WEB DESK: The District and Sessions Courts of Islamabad have officially declared journalist YouTubers Ahmed Noorani, Jamil Farooqui, and PTI leader and former MPA Punjab Assembly Seemabia Tahir as proclaimed offenders in a case concerning alleged propaganda against the Pakistan Army on social media.
Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Abbas Shah issued a written order confirming their status as proclaimed offenders and also authorized the issuance of perpetual arrest warrants for all three individuals.
According to court records, the accused have repeatedly failed to appear before the court despite multiple summons. The National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) has already submitted the charge sheets in the separate cases filed against each defendant.
The cases were originally registered by NACTA in July and August 2025. With the charge sheets now formally filed in court, the legal proceedings against the accused have advanced to the trial stage.
Yesterday, The ISPR Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif accused the PTI chief of orchestrating a “scientific system” of coordinated online propaganda. He stated that anti-state narratives originate from Imran Khan’s own social media accounts before being amplified internationally through organised troll networks. Furthermore, Lt Gen Sharif had issued a stern warning, declaring that any attack, verbal or otherwise, on the armed forces or its leadership would be met with a firm response. He cautioned those trying to create divisions between the military and the public to reconsider their actions.
