Islamabad hospitals put on high alert during elections

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Health has issued a notification placing all government hospitals in Islamabad on high alert from February 7 to February 9, coinciding with the upcoming elections scheduled for Wednesday, February 8.

The notification directs hospitals to maintain heightened vigilance during this period, aligning with the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) deadline for the conclusion of election campaigning, set for tonight at midnight.

As the nation prepares for the electoral process, authorities are taking proactive measures to ensure the readiness and response capability of healthcare facilities in the capital city.
