ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police have announced a comprehensive traffic management plan for Eidul Adha with the deployment of more than 400 officials across major roads during the three-day holiday period.

According to a spokesperson for Islamabad Traffic Police, Chief Traffic Officer Muhammad Sarfraz Work, in a special Eid message, has said that special arrangements had been put in place to ensure smooth traffic flow and public convenience during the festive days.

The spokesperson said that the plan aims to manage increased traffic pressure at key roads and recreational spots during Eid.

He said that over 400 traffic officials would remain deployed on major arteries throughout the three days of Eid to regulate traffic and assist citizens.

The CTO said that special squads would also be stationed at picnic points to curb one-wheeling and reckless driving.

He urged young people to avoid illegal activities during Eid celebrations and warned that strict legal action would be taken against violations of traffic laws without discrimination.

“Citizens should park their vehicles only in designated parking areas at picnic spots to avoid congestion,” Sarfraz Work said.

“Celebrate Eid, while we strive to provide the best travel facilities on the roads,” he added.

He also appealed to citizens to cooperate with traffic police and demonstrate responsible civic behaviour during the holiday period.
