Islamabad police issues advisory for Dec 8th and 9th


ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory for the 8th and 9th of December, warning commuters of heavy traffic at certain times.

On 8th December, traffic is expected to be heavier than usual from 11 am to 12 pm, while on 9th December, congestion is likely from 9 pm to 10 pm. Major routes affected include Faisal Avenue, Express Highway, and Srinagar Highway.

The traffic police have urged citizens to use alternative routes and avoid unnecessary travel. Express Chowk and the Marriott Gate in the Red Zone will be closed during these times. Citizens entering the Red Zone are advised to use Serena, NADRA, and Margalla Road.

For commuters coming from Rawalpindi to Islamabad, Rawal Road, Ninth Avenue, Faquir-E-Aam Road, and Srinagar Highway are suggested. Those traveling from Islamabad to Rawalpindi should use Zero Point and Srinagar Highway. Travelers from Murree and Barakahu are advised to use Korang Road, Bani Gala, and Park Road.

Traffic police personnel will be stationed at various points to guide commuters and ensure smooth movement.
