Islamabad Traffic Police have released a detailed traffic advisory for April 11 and 12, outlining major road closures and alternate routes to manage movement across the capital.

According to the advisory, commuters travelling to Rawalpindi via GT Road have been directed to use Chakri, Motorway and Chak Beli Road. Similarly, those heading towards Peshawar from GT Road should take Chak Beli Road and Chakri routes.

Traffic moving from sectors G-6, G-5 and F-6 towards Rawalpindi has been advised to use Ninth Avenue, while vehicles travelling from Faisal Avenue to Zero Point will also be diverted to Ninth Avenue.

For commuters travelling from Bara Kahu to Rawalpindi, the use of Korang Road has been recommended. Meanwhile, those coming from Rawalpindi to Islamabad have been instructed to use Ninth Avenue.

The advisory further stated that traffic from Zero Point to Faisal Avenue, Korral Chowk and the Expressway will remain closed. Commuters heading from Srinagar Highway to Faizabad should take Stadium Road via the Ninth Avenue signal.

For those arriving via Peshawar Road, authorities have suggested using the Taxila Motorway and Tarnol Phatak routes. Traffic heading towards H-11 and Islamabad International Airport has been directed to use Chakri Road.

In addition, all routes leading to and from the Red Zone will remain completely closed, while the entry of heavy traffic into Islamabad will also be banned during the two-day period.

Authorities have urged citizens to follow the traffic plan and plan their travel in advance to avoid inconvenience.
