Islamabad schools, colleges extend summer holidays until Aug 4, due to intense ‘hot weather’

ISLAMABAD: The summer vacations in schools and colleges in Islamabad have been extended until August 4 due to intense ‘hot and humid weather’.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Federal Education and Training, the schools and colleges in Islambad will reopen on Monday, August 5.

Earlier, the summer vacation for Islamabad students, which began on June 10 and was scheduled to end on Wednesday, July 31, has now been extended due to extreme weather conditions.

“Due to intense hot and humid weather in the District i.e Federal capital has decided to extend summer vacation in ICT schools/colleges till August 4, 2024. The schools and colleges will reopen on Monday, August 5, 2024,” the notification issued on July 28 read.
