Islamabad: traffic diversions announced on Srinagar Highway for today

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police on Saturday issued a traffic advisory, warning commuters of temporary diversions on Srinagar Highway between 11am and 12:30pm.
According to a statement by the police spokesperson, traffic diversions will be put in place during these hours, and motorists have been advised to use alternative routes, including IJP Road, Iran Avenue, the Islamabad Expressway, and inner-city service roads.
Commuters have been urged to plan their journeys with an additional 20 to 25 minutes to avoid inconvenience.
The advisory said officers of the Islamabad Traffic Police will be deployed on major roads to facilitate smooth traffic flow and assist the public.

Islamabad Police issue mid-day traffic advisory
Similarly on Friday, the Islamabad Police had warned commuters of temporary traffic disruptions due to road diversions enforced between 1:30pm and 2:30pm.
According to the advisory, diversions were put in place on Club Road, Murree Road and the Islamabad Expressway owing to official operations and events. Motorists were advised to use Srinagar Highway and internal service roads as alternative routes and to factor in an additional 20 to 25 minutes of travel time.
The Islamabad Traffic Police said traffic wardens were deployed to manage flow and assist road users. Citizens were urged to cooperate with officials and remain updated through the traffic helpline 1915 or Pukar 15.
