ISLAMABAD: Islamabad residents woke up to a frosty and foggy morning as temperatures dropped below zero.
The Pakistan Meteorologist Department (PMD) predicts a continued cold and dry spell across the country for the next 24 hours.
Weather experts anticipate the possibility of rain and snowfall in some areas of Gilgit-Baltistan. Meanwhile, dense fog is expected to shroud Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Upper Sindh.
In Islamabad and its adjacent areas, including Rawalpindi, the weather is forecasted to remain cold and dry. Islamabad temperatures will remain one degree celsius. No rain is expected until next week.
Lahore will experience ongoing cold conditions with fog persisting for the next 24 hours. Maximum temperatures are predicted to reach 10 degrees Celsius, while the minimum is recorded at 6 degrees Celsius.
AIR QUALITY WOES: LAHORE RANKS FIFTH MOST POLLUTED
Lahore, among the world’s most polluted cities, secures the fifth position. The Air Quality Index (AQI) stands at 169 in Lahore, while Karachi records 179. Notably, Shimla Pahari Chowk in Lahore reports the highest AQI of 318, reflecting air quality concerns in the city.
