It: Welcome to Derry series: What we know so far

ISLAMABAD: It: Welcome to Derry, originally introduced in 2017, is returning to screens with its highly anticipated new season set to premiere in just a few days on HBO and HBO Max. As fans eagerly await its release, here’s a look at what to expect from the spine-chilling prequel series.

A prequel to the hit films It (2017) and It Chapter Two—both adapted from Stephen King’s acclaimed novel—the series takes audiences back to the eerie town of Derry, Maine, unfolding events 27 years before the 2017 film.

It: Welcome to Derry delves into the town’s grim past and the origins of the supernatural terror that has haunted generations. The main cast features Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, and Blake Cameron James as the Hanlon family, joined by Chris Chalk, James Remar, and Madeleine Stowe in key roles. Bill Skarsgård reprises his iconic and chilling role as Pennywise the Clown.

The recurring lineup includes Dean Yool, Alixandra Fuchs, and Kimberly Norris Guerrero as Rose, along with Tyner Rushing, Peter Outerbridge, and Morningstar Angeline, among others. Together, the ensemble expands the eerie world of Derry beyond the central Hanlon storyline.

The supernatural horror series is scheduled to premiere on HBO on October 26, with new episodes releasing weekly.
