ITP can now issue driving licences to residents nationwide

Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday announced that residents countrywide can now obtain driving licenses from the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP).

During the inauguration of the Islamabad Traffic Police Facilitation on Wheels and Islamabad Traffic Police Education on Wheels Naqvi said that police would facilitate students in obtaining licenses conveniently at their colleges and universities. In attendance were IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and other police officials, with the IGP briefing the minister about the facilitation vans.

The minister said that providing facilities to the citizens of Islamabad is his priority.

He said that while residents over 70 in the federal capital would receive their licenses at home, students would have their licenses processed and delivered at their institutions.

Separately, the Islamabad police on Tuesday announced new fees for the services they provide, effective immediately.
