Jack Osbourne names newborn daughter after late father Ozzy in emotional tribute

Television personality Jack Osbourne has welcomed a baby girl and revealed a deeply personal tribute in her name, honouring his late father, heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne.

Jack announced the birth of his daughter, Ozzy Matilda Osbourne, in an Instagram post featuring a black-and-white photo of the newborn resting on a floral backdrop.

Beside her was a plaque listing her birth details: March 5, 2026, at 8:49 a.m., weighing 7 pounds 12 ounces and measuring 19 inches long.

“Introducing Ozzy Matilda Osbourne,” Jack wrote in the caption.

The tribute carries added emotional weight for the Osbourne family. Jack and his wife Aree Gearheart had revealed in December 2025 that they were expecting their second child together.

They were also able to share the pregnancy news with Ozzy before the Black Sabbath frontman died on July 22 at the age of 76.

Speaking previously about the pregnancy, Jack said the moment brought comfort during a difficult time for the family.

“It’s awesome,” he told The Sun on Sunday. “I think it’s been partly a healthy distraction, partly healing – probably in that kind of ‘full cycle’ category, in a weird way.”

Ozzy Matilda is Jack’s fifth daughter. He shares three daughters with his former wife, Lisa Stelly, and welcomed another daughter, Maple, with Gearheart in July 2022.

For the Osbourne family, the newborn’s name now stands as a lasting tribute to one of rock music’s most iconic figures.
