When they picked up garbage from various houses in one of the streets, he found Rs0.5 million in a bin.

When he collected the garbage from all the houses and dumped it in the cart, he was amazed because along with the garbage, there was a substantial amount of money in the cart.

Since he had picked up garbage from various houses together, he was not sure which house’s garbage bin contained the actual Rs0.5 million.

Baba Masih, while talking to Urdu News, shared that after finishing the garbage collection from all the houses on the street, he sat down with his son in a corner. He informed his son not to touch the money they found and decided to wait for its rightful owner to claim it.

Soon enough, a man named Muhammad Akram, dressed in white, approached them. Masih speculated to his son that perhaps the money belonged to him. When Muhammad Akram asked if they had found any money in their house’s garbage, Masih said that he told Akram that he found money from one of the houses’ garbage bins that day.

Following this explanation, Masih handed over the entire sum to its owner. He said that he didn’t count the money but later learned it amounted to Rs0.5 million. As a token of appreciation, Muhammad Akram rewarded him with Rs15,000.

Reflecting on the incident with Urdu News, Babar Masih said his commitment to not causing harm to anyone. He reiterated that his actions that day were guided by ensuring the money found its way back to its rightful owner.
