MULTAN: Veteran politician Javed Hashmi alleged that his residence in Makhdoom Rasheed faced a police raid just before a scheduled workers’ convention.
Hashmi took to social media, specifically X, around midnight to make these serious accusations.
According to Hashmi, numerous Punjab Police officials forcefully entered his house without a warrant, creating a tense situation.
The intrusion apparently occurred after the police surrounded his residence. Javed Hashmi disclosed that his son-in-law, Shahid Bahar Hashmi, and grandson, Qasim Hashmi, were among those arrested during the incident.

Notably, all the household servants were also reportedly taken into custody.
Hashmi supported his claims with photographic evidence, showcasing damaged doors and cabinets in his residence.
He said that a convention of Tehrik-e-Insaf workers will be held at his residence today, in which Meher Bano Qureshi and Zain Qureshi will also participate.
This incident has sparked concerns and questions about the circumstances surrounding the alleged police action at the veteran politician’s home. As of now, authorities have not provided an official response, leaving the situation shrouded in uncertainty.
