Javed Latif reveals some officials of state institutions want Imran Khan back

ISLAMABAD: PML-N leader Javed Latif has claimed that certain individuals within state institutions are working to bring former Prime Minister Imran Khan back to power.

Speaking on the program Sawal Ye Hai, Latif said that facilitation for Imran Khan still exists and the “window for support” is open, which could potentially become a gateway in the future.

He added that Faiz Hameed had consulted with several people for his decisions, many of whom are now influential or hold key positions. Latif said that all others involved should also be held accountable.

Referring to Nawaz Sharif’s earlier remarks in Gujranwala, Latif said the five people named were powerful at the time, and those associated with the Imran Khan-Faiz Hameed project should also be brought forward.

He emphasised that investigations against Faiz Hameed are ongoing, noting that it is clear he could not have acted alone.

Latif concluded by saying that now that accountability has finally begun, it should be carried through to its full completion.
