Islamabad airport resumes flights after temporary suspension: PAA

ISLAMABAD: Jazz is set to introduce 5G services at Islamabad International Airport in collaboration with the Pakistan Airports Authority, marking a further step towards enhanced digital connectivity at the country’s busiest aviation hub.

According to officials, the decision was taken by the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) to expand next-generation cellular services at the airport. Engineers from Jazz recently visited the facility to assess technical requirements and review implementation plans.

As part of the project, a dedicated mobile phone tower will be installed at the airport to support 5G connectivity and ensure seamless high-speed internet access for passengers and staff.

Authorities noted that another telecom operator, Zong, has already launched 5G services at the airport, making Jazz’s entry a move that will further strengthen competition and service quality.
