However, the JI has rejected the government delegation’s request to immediately end the protest.
Earlier today, Jamaat-e-Islami presented ten demands to Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
The federal government formed a three-member negotiation committee to talk to the JI leadership.
The Committee members include Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Amir Muqam, and ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party leader Tariq Fazal Chaudhry.
After meeting with the JI negotiation team, Attaullah Tarar announced that the first round of negotiations will begin tomorrow.
