JI Karachi chief announces protest against alleged rigging

Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi, Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman, stated on Friday that the party plans to protest against the alleged rigging in the general election of 2024, which took place on Thursday.

He claimed that JI has secured victory on 18 seats of the National Assembly. “We believe in peaceful protests, and we will commence our demonstrations from today,” stated Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman during a press conference in Karachi.

He noted that people have expressed their dissatisfaction by voting for independent candidates, who are also welcome to join our protest.
