JI’s Hafiz Naeem warns of expanding sit-in to Karachi from July 31


Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), led by Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, launched a major sit-in with clear demands aimed at addressing systemic issues within Pakistan.

RAWALPINDI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman warned on Sunday that the sit-in will be expanded to Karachi starting July 31.

The sit-in in Karachi will be held in front of the Governor’s House Sindh. He said that sit-ins will also take place in Lahore, Karachi, and Peshawar.

They said that they have no interest in staging sit-ins and blocking the roads, adding that they will free Pakistan from feudal lords.

Following the first round of talks held on Sunday, the government decided to release all Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) workers who were arrested.

On Sunday, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Deputy Emir Liaquat Baloch announced that the party will continue its ongoing anti-inflation sit-in in Rawalpindi, following the first round of talks with the government.
