Jonah Hill’s new Apple TV film ‘Outcome’ drops first look and it’s already raising eyebrows

Outcome

Apple TV has released the first official look at Outcome, the upcoming dark comedy from Jonah Hill, and early reactions suggest the film is already striking a nerve.

The newly shared images place Hill alongside Keanu Reeves on what appears to be a Hollywood studio lot, with Hill appearing noticeably transformed for the role. Sporting a shaved head, glasses and a greying beard, the filmmaker looks deliberately stripped back, a visual shift that mirrors the film’s themes of identity, exposure and control.

What Outcome is about

According to the official synopsis, Outcome follows Reef Hawk, a Hollywood star who has been famous since childhood and finds himself unraveling after discovering an extortion plot tied to a mysterious video. As the threat grows, Reef embarks on a frantic attempt at redemption, confronting past mistakes while trying to avoid public collapse.

Reeves leads the film as Reef, while Cameron Diaz and Matt Bomer play his closest friends. Hill also appears on screen as Ira, a crisis lawyer pulled in as the situation spirals further out of control. The supporting cast includes Martin Scorsese.

Jonah Hill on fame and fallout

Hill has previously described Outcome as a reflection of life shaped by constant online scrutiny, saying the film explores how public perception can outweigh personal relationships in the age of social media.

Release date

Outcome will premiere globally on Apple TV on April 10.
