K-pop star Park Bo-ram passes away at 30

WEB DESK: Prominent K-pop star Park Bo-ram passed away on Thursday afternoon, her agency “Xanadu Entertainment” reported on Saturday.

According to reports, the Korean star was found collapsed and in cardiac arrest at a friend’s house. Despite immediate hospitalisation, Bo-ram succumbed to her condition around 11:17 pm, local time.

The cause of her sudden death is currently under investigation, with authorities looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Park Bo-ram’s unexpected demise adds to a series of recent losses in the Korean entertainment industry.

Park Bo-ram gained fame after her appearance on the South Korean music channel programme “Superstar K2” in 2010. Her debut song “Beautiful” released in 2014 achieved notable success. Bo-ram earned various awards and nominations for the song, including the Artist of the Year award at the fourth Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards.
