Kansas City schools close or shift to virtual learning amid snow

Several schools across the Kansas City metro area are closed or shifting to virtual learning on Monday due to snow showers.

Blue Springs R-4 will have remote learning. Braymer C-4, Cameron R-1, and Center Place Restoration in Independence are closed. Concordia USD #333 in Kansas will start two hours late. Excelsior Springs District #40 is observing an AMI day. Family Christian Academy and Independence Schools are closed.

Fort Osage R-1 and Grain Valley R-5 in Missouri will either be closed or have remote/AMI learning. Hamilton R-2, Islamic School of Greater Kansas City, and King City R-1 are closed. Lee A. Tolbert Community Academy, Marian Hope Academy in Lee’s Summit, and Maryville R-2 are also closed. Mid Buchanan R-5 has canceled classes.

North Platte R-1 School District, Northern Hills Christian Academy in Holt, and Nova Center School in Independence are closed. Oak Grove R-6 School District will have AMI virtual learning. Odessa R-7 and Plaza Heights Christian Academy are closed. Stanberry R-2 has canceled classes.

Timothy Lutheran School in Blue Springs and Timothy Lutheran Preschool, West Platte R-2 Schools and University Academy Charter School are all closed for the day.
