Karachi Dairy Farmers Association announces increase in milk price

KARACHI: The Karachi Dairy Farmers Association on Saturday declared a surge in milk prices across the province. The association justified the increase, stating that adhering to the price set by Commissioner Karachi is not feasible.

The association emphasized the uncontrollable rise in the cost of fodder as a significant factor.

Previously, the commissioner had convened a meeting of stakeholders to determine a new pricing structure for milk in the metropolis. Despite the government fixing the milk price at Rs180 per litre, it was being sold at Rs 220 to 230 per litre in various areas of the city.
