Wave of crime engulfs Karachi in a single day

KARACHI: Residents in Karachi witnessed a car accident, alleged police encounters with criminals, and arson attacks in a single day.

A fatal car accident claimed one life and left another injured near the Nagan Chowrangi flyover. The victims were identified as brothers according to the police.

As per police reports, two people were seen fleeing the scene, leaving behind a completely wrecked car.

The incident is currently under investigation.

Meanwhile, an alleged police encounter resulted in the arrest of two suspects. The suspects were both injured during the confrontation with the law enforcerers.

The police transferred the accused to a local hospital for medical treatment. Preliminary reports suggest the suspects were involved in street crime activities.

Similarly, chaos erupted in Landhi Town’s sector 37-B with reports of an arson attack involving two vehicles and a shop.

Unknown assailants set the property ablaze, prompting the shop owner to file a First Information Report (FIR) against them.

In his statement, the shopkeeper recounted his wife witnessed and later identified the suspects fleeing the scene of crime.

The shop-owner also alleged an ongoing dispute with the shop’s tenant.
