Karachi Kings hold nerve to beat Quetta Gladiators by 14 runs

LAHORE: Karachi Kings secured a 14-run victory over Quetta Gladiators after setting a target of 182 in Lahore.

Batting first, Karachi Kings posted 181 for 7 in their allotted overs, powered by Moeen Ali’s unbeaten 48 off 29 balls. Captain David Warner scored 35, while Saad Baig made 30 and Salman Ali Agha added 22.

For Quetta, Ahmed Daniyal claimed three wickets, while Alzarri Joseph picked up two. Chasing 182, Quetta Gladiators were restricted to 167 for 7.

Hasan Nawaz top-scored with 52, while Saud Shakeel contributed 33 and Rilee Rossouw made 25. Karachi’s bowling attack was led by Hasan Ali, who returned figures of four wickets, with Moeen Ali, Salman Ali Agha and Adam Zampa taking one wicket each.

Despite a fighting effort, Quetta fell short as Karachi Kings held their composure in a close contest.
