Karachi mayor extends heartfelt tributes on Teacher’s Day

KARACHI: As the world celebrates Teacher’s Day, Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab took the opportunity to honor and appreciate the invaluable contributions of educators in shaping the future of our nation.

In a series of statements, Murtaza Wahab emphasized the significance of respecting and acknowledging the vital role played by teachers in societal development and celebrate the educators who impart knowledge and values to the next generation.

Mayor Wahab continued, “Those nations develop that respect teachers,”, adding, “Congratulations to the teachers who keep us moving forward.”

Shifting the focus towards political discourse, he remarked, “The name of politics is to serve, not to blame.” He urged all stakeholders to prioritise the well-being and education of the younger generation over political point-scoring, especially with elections on the horizon.

Furthermore, he emphasised the importance of instilling hope in students for a brighter future, stating, “We have to give hope to our students for the best future.” Mayor Wahab stressed that nurturing the potential of the youth is essential for the overall growth and prosperity of the nation.

He also expressed his commitment to avoiding negative politics. He said, “I want to avoid negative politics, accept good deeds.”
