Karachi school principal arrested for raping, blackmailing job seekers

Karachi: A school principal, Irfan Ghaffar Memon, has been arrested from Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Hadeed area, on charges of raping and blackmailing women.

The police have also obtained videos related to the harassment of women. After reviewing the evidence, the police have arrested the school principal and legal action is being taken against him.

The police said that the accused was not only the owner of the school but also the principal. He lured female teachers with promises of employment and subjected them to harassment. He also recorded CCTV footage of them, using it for blackmail.

Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Malir stated that the police have found approximately 25 videos from the principal’s room, which are currently under investigation. They are also in contact with the affected women. He mentioned that so far, five victims have been identified.

They said that the police would also take statements from electricians named Ali and Shakil, who installed CCTV cameras.
