WEB DESK: Famous Hollywood action star Keanu Reeves shared a humourous yet painful incident from the set of his upcoming comedy film “Good Fortune”.
Reeves recalled how his knee “cracked like a potato chip” in an unexpected mishap while filming a scene with co-stars Aziz Ansari and Seth Rogen in a cold plunge.

“I was doing the post-scene ‘cold shuffle’ when suddenly my foot got stuck in a little pocket in the protective carpets,” Reeves recounted with his trademark deadpan humuor.
“Next thing I knew, I was going down, but my knee decided to stay put. It was like slow-motion falling with my arms outstretched, and then bam! My patella — kneecap — cracked like a potato chip. Comedy’s hard, man.”
Earlier photos from the set showed Reeves using crutches and sporting an ice pack on his knee, sparking speculation about the injury’s severity. However, Ansari clarified later that despite the mishap, Reeves continued filming most of his scenes.
The only exception was a salsa-dancing sequence that would be shot once his knee fully healed.
Good Fortune is a comedy written and directed by Ansari in his feature film debut. It stars Reeves as a guardian angel navigating a comedic adventure with a man who trades lives with a wealthy socialite. Alongside Reeves, the film features Keke Palmer, Sandra Oh, and Ansari and Rogen.
Reeves Fans are eagerly awaiting Good Fortune to finally see their idol in a non-action role. His comedic timing off-screen has been celebrated, despite the actor being known for his extremely reserved, serious nature.

The incident also reflects the irony of Reeves sustaining such an injury on a comedy set, given his illustrious career in action-packed blockbusters. The “Matrix” and “John Wick” star found great humour in the situation, however.
