Kelsea Ballerini breaks silence on Chase Stokes split rumours

Kelsea Ballerini has addressed her personal life for the first time since new split speculation with Chase Stokes, telling fans she is keeping things private while focusing on her own wellbeing.

The country star, 32, responded to a fan during an Instagram Stories Q&A after they asked how she was doing. Sharing a sunlit photo of herself by the water, Ballerini thanked the fan before offering a brief update.

“I am in a steady and happy place right now, truly excited for this Australia tour and the holidays,” she wrote. “If I had one favour, it would be honouring that I am trying to make my personal life personal for now. Unless it comes from me, it is not from me.”

Her message comes shortly after Stokes, 33, posted a series of cryptic Instagram Stories on 20 November, where he claimed he was “blocked” and insisted he had “done nothing wrong.” He later apologised to followers who “believed in us,” adding to speculation that the pair had ended things.

Ballerini and the Outer Banks actor, who first confirmed their relationship in early 2023, were reported to have split in September after nearly three years together. A source said at the time that they had “tried everything to make it work” but ultimately could not.

Despite the reported separation, the two were seen holding hands in Dubrovnik earlier this month. An onlooker described them as looking “very cute” as they walked together through the Old Town.

For now, Ballerini has made it clear that any update on her relationship status will come directly from her.
