Khosa issued show cause notice for defying party line

LAHORE: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has taken disciplinary action against Latif Khosa for deviating from the party’s stance and publicly defending leaders from other political parties.

A show cause notice was issued by PPP Secretary General Nayar Bukhari in this regard.

The notice specifically cites Latif Khosa’s unauthorized defense of another political party’s leader, a move made without prior party consent.

Khosa also expressed criticism of the state’s policy on a cipher issue during an event organized by lawyers.

Latif Khosa has been granted a seven-day period to respond to the show cause notice.

The notice further emphasizes that failure to provide a satisfactory response within the stipulated time frame may result in the termination of Khosa’s party membership.
