PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has made the decision to remove Chief Secretary Nadeem Aslam from his position.

PHC grants stay on Mohsin Dawar’s arrest until March 21

CM Gandapur has reportedly written a letter to the Federal Government requesting the removal of the current chief secretary.

Gandapur has also requested that Shahab Ali Shah, a Grade 21 officer from Peshawar, be posted as the replacement for the Chief Secretary position. The Chief Minister has asserted that the services of Nadeem Aslam should be withdrawn.

Interestingly, the missive sent from the chief minister’s office contains a single name for the appointment to the aforementioned position, instead of three names as is the practice. It is within the prime minister’s prerogative to select the chief secretary from the roster of names submitted to him.

Visits with Imran Khan restricted for two weeks

Shahab Ali Shah has served as the Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2021 as well.
