A viral video posted by Kid Rock has triggered a US Army probe after two military helicopters were seen hovering near his Tennessee mansion.
The footage, filmed at the musician’s hilltop property near Nashville, shows AH-64 Apache helicopters flying unusually close as Kid Rock gestures from his poolside.
Video sparks questions as Army launches review
In the clips shared online, Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, is seen clapping, saluting and raising his fist as the helicopters hover and pass over his estate.
One video shows him standing beside a replica of the Statue of Liberty, while another captures a second flyby as he reacts from his pool. The posts also included political commentary, with a profane remark directed at Gavin Newsom.
This is a level of respect that shit for brains Governor of California will never know. God Bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her. 🇺🇸 🙏 pic.twitter.com/iD5mmkaXv1

The US Army said the helicopters were conducting a routine training flight near the Nashville area, but confirmed an internal review is now underway.
“An administrative review is underway to assess the mission and verify compliance with regulations and airspace requirements,” said Army spokesman Maj Montrell Russell. Officials added that action will be taken if any violations are found.
Coincidence or something more?
The video has sparked speculation online over whether the flyby was purely coincidental or linked to the location.
Kid Rock, a vocal supporter of Donald Trump, often shares politically charged content, which amplified attention around the footage.
The Army has not indicated that the helicopters were targeting the property, but said it takes concerns about aircraft activity near communities seriously.
The review is ongoing, with further details expected to clarify whether any rules were breached.
