Kim Kardashian mother Kris Jenner mourns sister’s passing

WEB DESK: Kim Kardashian’s mother Kris Jenner announced the death of her sister Karen Houghton.

The matriarch of the Kardashian family shared an earnest tribute for her beloved sister despite tensions in the past. Kris Jenner expressed sadness while extending condolences to her mother and her sister’s daughter Natalie.

Jenner took to social media platform Instagram to announce the news. The post began with Jenner announcing her sister’s passing. “It is with the heaviest heart and deepest sadness that I share that my sister Karen passed away yesterday unexpectedly”, she wrote.

She offered condolences to her mother and her sister’s daughter in particular given the closeness of their relationship. “My heart aches for my mom and my niece Natalie and I pray that God guides us all through this difficult time.”

Jenner described her sister as a beautiful person and highlighted her kindness. “Karen was beautiful inside and out. She was the sweetest, kindest, the most sensitive and vulnerable and so so funny. She always felt grateful and thankful for her life and treasured her family and friends and especially her beautiful daughter. She holds such a huge part of my heart and I cherish every single memory we have together”.

Jenner went on to mull over valuing loved ones given how life is too short. “Karen’s passing is a reminder that life is so short and precious and tomorrow is never promised. We must tell those we cherish how much we love them”.

The post also included a collection of family photos.

As per reports, over the years there was heavy tension between the sisters, exacerbated by Jenner’s status a celebrity. Despite the rumours, the sisters have been seen together, including in a family photo during Christmas 2019.

Jenner’s sister Karen Houghton’s passing was confirmed by San Diego County authorities in the state of California, United States (US).
