Kim Kardashian’s next move? Broadway and it’s not what you think

Kim Kardashian is making a surprise move into Broadway, stepping in as a producer for The Fear of 13, a stage adaptation of a real-life wrongful conviction case.

The production, based on the story of Nick Yarris, will be staged at the James Earl Jones Theatre this spring and stars Adrien Brody and Tessa Thompson.

Kardashian links Broadway debut to justice push

Kardashian said the project is closely tied to her long-standing focus on criminal justice reform.

“For the past decade, criminal justice reform has been a deeply personal mission of mine,” she said, adding that the play highlights how the system can fail.

The story follows Yarris, who spent 22 years on death row for a crime he did not commit, a narrative Kardashian said has the power to challenge audiences.

“My hope is that this production sparks a real conversation about the true meaning of justice,” she said.

From reality TV to courtroom ambitions

The move comes as Kardashian continues to pursue a legal career, inspired in part by her late father Robert Kardashian, who was part of O. J. Simpson’s defence team.

She previously passed the “baby bar” exam in 2021 and has been studying law in recent years, though she said she did not pass the full bar exam in 2025.

Kardashian has also suggested she may eventually step away from her public persona to focus on becoming a trial lawyer.

Expanding influence beyond entertainment

Alongside her business empire, Kardashian has increasingly aligned her projects with advocacy, recently starring as a high-powered divorce lawyer in All’s Fair, a TV drama from Ryan Murphy.

Her Broadway debut marks a significant expansion into live theatre, blending storytelling with her advocacy work as she continues to build influence beyond reality television.

The Fear of 13 is expected to open this spring.
