KP Assembly declares Zulfikar Ali Bhutto a national martyr

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly has unanimously passed a resolution declaring former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto a national martyr.

The resolution was presented by PPP parliamentary leader Ahmad Karim Kundi. It pays tribute to Bhutto’s national, political, and democratic contributions, saying his efforts to build a strong and people-focused Pakistan will always be remembered.

The resolution also called for Bhutto to be officially recognized as a national martyr at the government level.

The motion was approved unanimously by the assembly members.

 Meanwhile, the 46th death anniversary of the former Premier Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was observed today on on April 4 with nationwide events.

The PPP has organized commemorative events at district headquarters across the country. The main ceremony is taking place at Bhutto’s mausoleum in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, near Naudero in Larkana.
