KP CM de-notifies Shakeel Ahmed Khan

PESHAWAR: On the instructions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, the Administration Department has issued a notification de-notifying Provincial Minister for Communications and Works (C&W) Shakeel Khan from the cabinet.

The Good Governance Committee, consisting of PTI leaders Qazi Anwar, Shah Farman, and Brigadier (retd) Musaddiq Abbasi, released a statement on Friday regarding the removal of the provincial minister.

The committee in a statement said that it was formed on the instructions of PTI founder Imran Khan, and conducted an inquiry into complaints related to the C and W department.

“During the inquiry, statements from the provincial minister and the Secretary of C&W were recorded. The committee compiled recommendations based on evidence of financial irregularities, misuse of power, and negligence, which were presented to the Chief Minister,” said the statement.

Acting on the committee’s recommendations, the Chief Minister dismissed the provincial minister from his position.

Meanwhile, PTI National Assembly members Junaid Akbar Khan and Atif Khan has expressed their support with Shakeel Khan.

On the social media platform X, both MNAs stated that no one in the cabinet was more honest than Shakeel Khan. They claimed that Shakeel Khan was punished for highlighting corruption and vowed to expose the conspiracy against him soon.

Last night, Shakeel Khan sent his resignation to Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur.
